Welcome
Rocks come from mountains, glaciers and oceans.
They travel great distances and exist for billions and billions of years.
Maybe for E T E R N I T Y.
When I hold one in my hand, I feel connected to the entire Universe.
I am an artist and I love to paint things on rocks.
This Is Your Rock is a art project I’ve created to explore and celebrate surprise and kindness.
I call it a K I N D N E S S M O V E M E N T.
Welcome.

I did a memory stone project for a brief time. I would take the name of someone who had passed away and I painted it on a small memory stone. I’m not artistic in that way at all, so it was truly a labor of love. It actually resulted in my first (and thus far only) published article in the local newspaper. I would just mail them out to anyone who needed something to hold onto. I still have a bag of rocks in my hallway closet and instead of waiting for a hurting soul, I think I’ll write something nice on them and start leaving them places. I love your blog and your spirit and I’m so glad that I popped by for a visit. I’m looking forward to reading more! Take good care! xoJulia
Hi Julia, I love the idea of the memory stones and also love the idea that your original idea could evolve into leaving them places as surprises. I think it would be awesome if people joined me in this kindness movement!! Thanks for stopping by and for your comment. Happy New Year!
I have enjoyed your blog and will return and I would like to invite you to visit mine. Best wishes in the New Year! Hugs, Barbara
